I changed the previous single book form in this work and tried to mix many materials and structures to achieve an interwoven reading experience in space, vision, smell, and touch. Readers can feel The Mercy Seat through the design sense of different latitudes, a vast and rich gothic iconic song.
The song sings the horror and primal bloodlust of biblical stories of compassion, atonement, sacrifice and ritual. I don't think it means anything simple. But it talks about death, about forgiveness, about refusing to lie.

The cover of the book uses the shape of a record to respond to the collectable nature of the song. Readers pull up the finger icon, and the book will appear like magic, achieving interactive form.
Words such as "burning" and "smoke" appear many times in the lyrics. Therefore, I use burning incense to burn the paper to obtain unique patterns to enrich the diversity of book materials and retain the smell of burning incense, which is displayed in the sense of smell.
I hope that through the interaction of three-dimensional paper books, readers can be calm in the artistic conception and imagination of the lyrics. The phrase "I am not afraid to die" is more like the slogan of this song.
